Sermorelin

Sermorelin is a synthetic peptide analogue of growth hormone–releasing hormone (GHRH 1–29), studied for its ability to stimulate endogenous growth hormone (GH) secretion via activation of GHRH receptors in the anterior pituitary.

In research settings, sermorelin has been used to examine hypothalamic–pituitary axis function, endocrine feedback mechanisms, and downstream effects on insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1). Compared to direct growth hormone administration, it promotes physiologic pulsatile GH release in experimental models.
